DPS Ranchi added another feather to its cap as its quiz team delivered an outstanding performance at the State Level Heritage Quiz 2025, organised by the Jharkhand State Chapter of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). Demonstrating remarkable presence of mind and a deep understanding of India’s cultural legacy, Gaurav Kumar Mahto and Arnav Singh (both from Class IX) clinched the State Champion title in the category for students of Classes VII to X.
Competing against four top teams that qualified for the state round, the duo showcased exceptional teamwork, accuracy, and confidence. Their victory at the state level comes on the heels of their impressive win at the City Level Heritage Quiz, reaffirming DPS Ranchi’s continued excellence in quizzing.
With this achievement, the team has secured its place in the National Level Heritage Quiz, scheduled to be held in Delhi, where they will represent Jharkhand.

Demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination, the Delhi Public School (DPS) Ranchi Under-17 Football Team emerged as the champions of the Inter School Football Tournament (U-17) organised by the Ranchi Sahodaya School Complex.
The highly competitive tournament saw participation from 24 leading schools across the city, making the victory even more remarkable. From the opening whistle to the final match, the DPS Ranchi team displayed sharp strategy, disciplined defense, and powerful attacks that kept the audience thrilled throughout. In a gripping final clash, DPS Ranchi dominated the field with confidence and sportsmanship, securing their place at the top and lifting the prestigious championship trophy.

The State Level Painting Competition 2025, organised by the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) under the Ministry of Power, brought together 100 talented young artists from across Jharkhand. Delhi Public School, Ranchi is delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its budding artists who showcased exceptional creativity and talent at the event.
In Group A, Swostik Mohapatra (Class 7-D) secured the Second Prize, winning a cash award of ?30,000, a Second Winner Trophy, and a Certificate of Merit. His remarkable performance has also earned him the honour of representing Jharkhand at the National Level Painting Competition to be held in New Delhi. Kushagra Roy (Class 7-G) earned a Consolation Prize, receiving a cash award of ?7,500, along with a Certificate and Trophy in recognition of his impressive artwork.
In Group B, Rupsa Banerjee (Class 8-D) secured a Consolation Prize, receiving a cash award of ?7,500, a Certificate, and a Trophy, highlighting her artistic excellence. Additionally, all selected students received ?2,000 each for their commendable performance at the school-level painting competition.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi created yet another moment of glory by emerging as the Overall Champion at the Bharat Vikas Parishad Regional Level Group Song Competition, held at Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad, Kolkata. Competing against talented teams from across the East Zone, the students of DPS Ranchi showcased exceptional musical brilliance and brought laurels to the state.
The team delivered a remarkable performance, securing the 1st Prize in the Hindi Group Song category and the 2nd Prize in the Sanskrit Group Song category, demonstrating their versatility and command over both languages. With this outstanding achievement, the team has qualified for the National Level Competition, scheduled to be held in Gwalior in January 2026.
Representing Jharkhand at the zonal level, the DPS Ranchi team stood out among eight participating teams from Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. At the national level, Team DPS Ranchi will now proudly represent the combined zone of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal, competing with winning teams from across the country.
The talented team members include, Gauri Vatsalya (Class VII), Subhashree Mondal (Class VIII), Aditi Shree (Class VIII), Ansh Bhatia (Class VII), Tvisha (Class XI), Shaurya Pratap Singh (Class IX), Anugya Sinha (Class IX), Saanvi Kriti (Class XI), and Armaan Aryan (Class XII).

The boys’ and girls’ badminton teams of DPS Ranchi delivered an outstanding performance at the 02nd G. D. Goenka Open Badminton Championship, emerging as winners in their respective categories. With exceptional victories in multiple events, DPS Ranchi secured the prestigious title of Overall Champion and proudly bagged the Best School Award, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s sporting achievements. The talented Girls’ Basketball team of Delhi Public School, Ranchi displayed outstanding skill, teamwork, and determination as they secured the Runners-Up position in the prestigious DPS Basketball Tournament Girls (Open) – 2025 (Zone 04). The championship witnessed intense competition among top DPS schools, and the girls of DPS Ranchi showcased remarkable consistency throughout the tournament.
The journey began with an impressive start as DPS Ranchi faced DPS Guwahati in their opening match, registering a dominant victory with a scoreline of 37–10. Maintaining their winning momentum, the team outclassed DPS Megacity in the second match with a commanding 37–4 win.
In the third match, DPS Ranchi continued their superb form by defeating DPS South Kolkata with yet another emphatic 37–4 score, emerging as the Pool Winners with an unbeaten record.
Advancing to the semi-finals, DPS Ranchi played a nail-biting match against DPS Numaligarh. Demonstrating resilience and composure in crucial moments, the team secured a hard-fought 13–11 victory, earning their place in the Finals. The title clash against DPS Gaya was intense and competitive. Despite their spirited performance, DPS Ranchi finished as the Runners-Up, showcasing remarkable grit and sportsmanship.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi achieved a remarkable feat by securing the Runners-Up position at the National Inter DPS Athletics Meet Boys (Open) 2025, held at DPS Ranipur, Haridwar on 13th and 14th November 2025. The prestigious event witnessed participation from 43 DPS schools across the nation, making the competition both intense and inspiring.
The athletes of DPS Ranchi delivered stellar performances across multiple events. Rudra Sahi emerged as a star performer, clinching a Gold Medal in Javelin Throw. Omkar Shreshtha showcased exceptional talent by winning a Silver Medal in High Jump and a Bronze Medal in Discus Throw. Adding to the school’s medal tally, the relay team comprising Rudra Sahi, Ganesh Kumar Sah, Aryan Mahali, and Pratyush Tigga secured a Bronze Medal in the 4×400m Relay, reflecting teamwork, endurance, and dedication.

The students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi made the school proud with their remarkable performance at the 2nd GD Goenka Open Inter School Badminton Championship 2025, organised by GD Goenka School, Ranchi. The championship was held from 7th to 9th November 2025 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from various reputed schools.
From DPS Ranchi, Anvay Modi and S. Yuganashvik, both students of Class V, displayed excellent coordination to clinch the 1st position in the U-11 Boys Doubles. S. Yuganashvik also secured the 3rd position in the U-11 Boys Singles. In the Girls’ category, Avika Verma of Class IV emerged victorious, bagging the 1st position in the U-11 Singles, while Rishika Santoria of Class III secured the 2nd position in the same category, bringing laurels to the school with their outstanding efforts and skillful play.

Ridhima’s performance in the film has been widely appreciated, showcasing her exceptional acting skills and confidence at such a young age. In a spectacular display of talent, teamwork, and competitive spirit, the team from Delhi Public School, Ranchi clinched the title of Overall Champions at the BFS Navratnas 2025, organized by Bridgeford School, Tupudana. The event witnessed participation from several reputed schools, and DPS Ranchi stood tall with remarkable victories across multiple categories, reaffirming its excellence in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities.
In the Milkha Hurdle Race, the energetic team comprising Omkar Shreshta (XI ‘N’), Rudra Sahi (XI ‘M’), Pratyush Raj (XI ‘M’), and Ishaan Lakra (IX ‘B’) raced to victory, securing the First Position. The school’s intellectual prowess shone bright in the Birbal Quiz Competition (Senior Group), where Ayaan Arif (XII ‘R’) and Rudransh Ranjan (X ‘I’) bagged the First Position. Adding to the accolades, Parth Kashyap (XI ‘Q’) secured Third Position in the Nachiketa – The Negotiator Competition, while Nandini Minocha (XI ‘R’) earned the title of First Runner-Up in the Chanakya Declamation Competition.

Students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi brought laurels to the institution by winning several accolades at the 18th DOX Inter-School Co-curricular Competition organized by St. Xavier’s School, Doranda. Participants from the Primary Wing showcased remarkable talent in a range of categories. Avni Choubey secured the 1st position in English Extempore, while Twisha Myra stood 2nd in English Storytelling and Shanaya Anurag bagged 3rd place in English Elocution. In Hindi events, Saket Singh and Trisha Goswami won 1st positions in Hindi Spelling and Hindi Elocution respectively. Kavya Kumari and Aashvi Sharma secured 3rd positions in Hindi Extempore and Hindi Storytelling, and Afifa Tabassum impressed the judges to win 3rd place in the Fancy Dress competition.
From the senior wing, DPS Ranchi’s dance team captivated the audience and bagged the 1st prize in the group dance event. In the Hindi Extempore category, both Shubhangi Dubey and Anvay Srivastava earned 2nd positions for their compelling performances. The team of Ridhima Singh, Anushka Toppo, and Datri Bharadwaj added another feather to the school’s cap by securing the 3rd position in the 'Best out of Waste' competition, showcasing creativity and innovation.

In yet another remarkable achievement, the talented students of DPS, Ranchi brought laurels to the institution by securing the First Prize at the State Level Bharat Vikas Group Song Competition held on 12th October 2025 at Sarla Birla University, Ranchi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 10 reputed schools across the state, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India through soulful and melodious group performances.

The team was felicitated by the Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence, Government of India, who applauded their remarkable talent and dedication. Their outstanding performance has earned them a place in the Zonal Level Round, where they will represent Jharkhand and compete with other state-level winners.

The Forest Department, Government of Jharkhand, organized the annual ‘Vanyaprani Saptah 2025’ (Wildlife Week) with great enthusiasm and public participation. As part of the celebrations, a drawing competition was held to encourage awareness about wildlife conservation among school children. The event saw vibrant participation from students across different age groups, who expressed their creativity and concern for nature through their artwork.

In this competition, Shrayanshi Tirkey of Class II secured the second prize in Group 'A', impressing the judges with her artistic expression. In Group 'B', Trisha Roy of Class IV bagged the first prize for her outstanding drawing, while Mayank Singh, also from Class IV, earned the second prize for his thoughtful depiction of wildlife themes. In Group 'C', Avyansh Raj of Class V and Pakhi Palak of Class VI were jointly awarded the third prize for their imaginative and meaningful artworks.

In a vibrant celebration of World Tourism Day, organized by the Government of Jharkhand, Directorate of Tourism, the students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi showcased their talents with remarkable performances and brought laurels to the school.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi, takes immense pride in announcing the remarkable achievements of its Class IX student, Hrishik Sinha, who has earned national recognition as an emerging artist in Pakhavaj. He was awarded the First Prize in the 15th All India Inter-School Competition organised by Roots to Routes, under the Ministry of Art & Culture, Government of India, as part of its Cultural Talent Search Programme. Today, on September 12, 2025, he was felicitated by the Honourable Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, who presented him with a certificate of appreciation and the award. His name has also been nominated for the prestigious Prime Minister’s National Award for Children 2025 in the field of Pakhavaj and Tabla.

Adding further to his achievements, Hrishik has also been selected from Jharkhand and Bihar in the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Examination conducted by the Centre for Cultural Resource and Training (CCRT), Ministry of Art & Culture, Government of India. Competing against lakhs of students from across the country, he has been awarded a two-year Government of India scholarship, a feat that brings glory to both Jharkhand and his school.

The competition witnessed participation from 42 schools across the district, making the victory even more commendable. Demonstrating exceptional knowledge, teamwork, and presence of mind, the DPS Ranchi team outperformed all others to emerge as district champions.

With this remarkable win, Aasutosh and Ameya have also qualified for the State Level of the prestigious quiz competition, carrying forward the legacy of excellence that DPS Ranchi is known for.

Delhi Public School Ranchi students have once again brought laurels to the institution by delivering a stellar performance in the CBSE East Zone Chess Championship 2025 held at Mount Litera Zee School, Bihta, Patna, Bihar. The championship witnessed intense competition, and DPS Ranchi emerged as one of the top performers with remarkable achievements across various categories.

The highlight of the event was the Under-17 Girls’ team clinching the Gold medal and qualifying for the Nationals, which will be held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, from 2nd to 5th September. Apart from this outstanding feat, the school secured Bronze medals in U-11 Boys, U-11 Girls, U-14 Boys, and U-19 Girls categories, showcasing the depth of talent and consistent performance across age groups.

In total, the team bagged 01 Gold and 04 Bronze medals, a testament to their hard work and strategic excellence. Adding to the glory, Team DPS Ranchi also received Board Prizes for scoring the highest points and remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament, a rare achievement that speaks volumes about their dominance on the chessboard.

The Yoga team of Delhi Public School, Ranchi delivered a commendable performance at the 41st Ranchi District Yogasana Championship 2025, held on 2nd and 3rd August at Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Ranchi. In a proud moment for Delhi Public School, Ranchi, a team of talented students secured the First Prize at the Marketing Skills Competition organized by the International Library and Cultural Centre (ILCC), Ranchi. The winning team from DPS Ranchi included Mahi Narsaria (Class XI), Hriday Khaitan (Class XI), Rishika Poddar (Class XI), Vedant Tripathi (Class XI) and Farhaz (Class XI).

Mahi Narsaria and Hriday Khaitan took the lead in presenting the product, impressing the judges with their confident delivery, persuasive pitch, and effective communication. Supporting them behind the scenes were Rishika, Vedant and Farhaz, who played a crucial role in idea generation, designing the promotional material, and creating catchy jingles, ensuring a holistic and impactful marketing presentation.

The talented students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi delivered an outstanding performance at the Ranchi District Judo Championship 2025, held at R.D.S. Public School, Namkum, and organised by the Ranchi Judo Association. Team DPS Ranchi  bagged a total of 12 medals, including 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.

A moment of special pride came when Tej Veer Singh of Class 7G was adjudged the Best Fighter in the Sub-Junior Boys category for his remarkable technique, agility and sportsmanship.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi, has added yet another feather to its cap with exceptional performances in two major sporting events — The DPS National Squash Championship Open Category 2025 and the CBSE Cluster III Basketball Tournament 2025.

At the DPS National Squash Championship, held at DPS Kollam, Kerala, the talented squash team from DPS Ranchi put up a commendable performance to clinch the Silver Medal in the open category. Representing the school were four dedicated students: Jai Arya of (Class 11), Nilay Mani Singh (Class 10), Aarav Choudhary of (Class 9), and Advit Taneja of (Class 8). Adding individual glory to the team’s success, Advit Taneja brought home the Bronze Medal in the individual category, a proud moment that highlights the school’s growing legacy in squash.

Simultaneously, DPS Ranchi also marked its presence at the CBSE Cluster III Basketball Tournament 2025, hosted by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Jamshedpur. With participation from 97 schools and 147 teams, the competition was intense. The U-14 boys’ team from DPS Ranchi showcased unwavering determination and talent, ultimately securing a third-place finish. Similarly, the U-19 girls’ team demonstrated exceptional teamwork and strategic play, also earning a well-deserved third position in their category.

Delhi Public School, Ranchi once again etched its name in glory at the India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) Ranchi Conference 2025, emerging as the Overall Champion and securing the coveted Best Delegation Award.

DPS Ranchi students Darshit Pandit (Class XI) and Akansha Kumari (Class XII) brought glory to the school at the prestigious Inter-DPS Debate Festival titled 'Point Counterpoint', held at DPS International, Saket, New Delhi. Alisha Singh of DPS Ranchi was bestowed with Best Player award for the second consecutive year.
With this victory, DPS Ranchi has earned a spot in the prestigious National Inter-DPS Basketball Tournament, which is scheduled to take place at DPS Vasant Kunj, New Delhi from 4th to 6th December 2024.

Shahwar Mustafa Khan, a Class XI student of DPS Ranchi, showcased his exceptional talent in swimming at two prestigious competitions. He clinched two bronze medals at the CBSE East Zone Swimming Championship held in Orai from 14th to 16th September. Shahwar secured his medals in the 100m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke events, marking his prowess in the sport.

In the Swimming Open State Championship, Shahwar continued to shine by achieving the 2nd position in the 50m breaststroke, along with 3rd positions in both the 400m freestyle and 200m freestyle events. His performance in the 50m breaststroke earned him a spot in the Nationals.

In a remarkable display of knowledge and skill, students from DPS, Ranchi, clinched the top prize in a prestigious quiz competition organized by the Department of Remote Sensing, BIT Mesra, and the National Remote Sensing Centre (ISRO, Hyderabad). The event was part of the National Space Day Celebration, commemorating India's historic landing on the Moon's South Pole.

Divya Kumar Soni and Mrinmoy Kit, both from Class XII, showcased their exceptional quizzing abilities and emerged victorious, securing the first prize.

DPS Ranchi becomes National Champion in Inter DPS Dance Festival

DPS Ranchi dance has emerged as National winners in 'Nrityayanjali' 2023- Inter DPS Dance Festival which was organised by The Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi and hosted by DPS, Eldeco, Lucknow.

Centered on the theme of "Panchtatwa", this event witnessed 141 Delhi Public Schools from different parts of the country compete for the coveted National Trophy.

In a thrilling display of skill and teamwork, Delhi Public School Ranchi secured a resounding victory in the Zonal Inter- DPS Basketball Tournament (Girls), cementing their status as champions. The tournament was organised by Delhi Public School, Durg, Chattisgarh. The tournament witnessed participation from 7 teams of DPS schools of various states which included Jharkhand, West Bangal, Chattisgarh and Assam.
The final match pitted DPS Ranchi against DPS Numaligarh.

DPS Ranchi emerged Winner of Zonal Inter DPS Basketball Tournament (Boys) held at DPS Ruby Park, Kolkata. The tournament witnessed participation of DPSs of states of Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Assam and Chhattisgarh. The final nail- biting match was played between DPS Ranchi and DPS Siliguri on 7th October 2023.

Aditya Kumar Verma (Class XI) and Mrinmoy Kit (Class XI) of DPS Ranchi emerged as state level winners of "U Genius" quiz competition organised by Union Bank of India and qualified for the National level scheduled to be held at Mumbai in the month of November.

DPS Ranchi bagged the position of 2nd Runner up at IT Quiz and IT exhibition held by St. Xavier's school, Doranda on the birth anniversary of Mother Teresa. A total of 53 schools had participated from all over Jharkhand.

DPS Ranchi secured First Position in District Level Group Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikash Parishad.

DPS Ranchi had an exhilarating moment of pride as Anurag Lakra (Class XII) and Yashaswi Jain (Class X) secured Third position in THINQ- The Indian Navy Quiz organised by the Indian Navy. The Semifinal and Final Rounds were held in Aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya..

Anurag and Yashaswi of DPS Ranchi were awarded with a laptop each and they bagged the cash prize of Rs. 25,000. The winners were felicitated by Honourable Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral R. Hari Kumar.

Another feather has been added to the glory of Delhi Public School Ranchi with Pragya Pallavi (Class X) bagging 2nd position and Eshika Sahu (Class IX) securing 3rd position and being awarded with cash prizes of Rs.10,000 and 8,000 respectively in the Inter-School Annual Debate Competition, organised and hosted by DPS Kollam on 26th November 2022.

Stepping on to the next level of inter-school singing competition being held nationwide, students of DPS Ranchi secured first prize in Regional Level of Inter-School Group Singing Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad (East Region) at Sanskriti Bhawan, Puri, Odisha. Total 6 teams from Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal participated in this competition.

The team of DPS Ranchi is a proud qualifier for the National Level which is scheduled to be held in Rajasthan.

DPS Ranchi hosted the state level of “Rashtriya Samuh Gaan Pratiyogita” – Inter School Group Singing Competition on 08th November 2022 at Vivkenand Auditorium and won it due to the marvellous singing skills of its crown singers. The competition was organised by theJharkhand Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad. More than 100 participants of 08 teams across the State of Jharkhand took part in this competition. This programme was graced by Swami Bhaweshanand Maharaj ji, Secretary, Ram Krishna Mission, Ranchi as the Chief Guest.

The participants showcased their vocal and instrumental skills through patriotic songs delivered in Hindi and Sanskrit languages which received thunderous applause from the audience. With success on this platform, DPS Ranchi has qualified for the Regional level of this prestigious competition.
