Delhi Public School, Ranchi has been awarded the best school among all CBSE schools in Ranchi for the outstanding performance by its students in class X examination 2010-11. Out of 261 students who had appeared for class X exam,94 students got CGPA 10.In a felicitation ceremony organised by the Hindustan, the leading national daily, Shri Arjun Munda, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand presented the trophy of the best school to Shri J Mohanty, the Principal of DPS, Ranchi. All 94 students were also felicitated on the occasion. Amrit Srivastava,a student of class XI of the school ,is a proud recipient of the Hindustan Scholarship worth Rs 25000.

The Principal ,Shri J Mohanty said that the school will strive to achieve higher goals and will try to retain this award next year also.

DPS Ranchi organized an interactive session of the Principal and teachers with the parents of the students of class IX and X on July 9, 2011 with an aim to bring about improvement in students' performance.
The Principal , Mr. J. Mohanty, informed the parents about the changing trends in education and examination and also answered their queries . He expressed hope that such an interaction will help the students identify their problem areas and eventually overcome them.
