DPS Ranchi Outshines other schools of Ranchi in NTSE
8 Children of Delhi Public School Ranchi have qualified in NTSE. They are Saumyo Bhattacharya, Ankit Kumar Jain, Rayyan Shahid, Utkarsh Anand, Abhigyan Adarsh, Shubham Kumar Singh, Ishika Tigga, and Kumar Divyang. They are all from Class X. It is a matter of immense pride and glory that the maximum number of children who qualified in NTSE from Ranchi are from DPS Ranchi. The children have come out with flying clourrs and produced the highest number in the city.
Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPs Ranchi congratulated the students for their stupendous performance. He also expressed his heart’s elation as eight in the highest in the city.
7 students fo DPS Ranchi qualify for Level-2 International Olympiad of English Language
The students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi have come out with flying colours by qualifying for level – 2 International Olympiad of English Language (IOEL) – 2017.
The IOEL is a test of competence and knowledge in the subject of English language. This is held annually both at the National and International levels, based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE/ICSE and the State Boards.
It recommends the competition for each and every student who is studying English language as their subject. All the students of class I to XII are eligible to take part in level – 1.
Top 500 Olympiad rank holders of the 1st level from each class are eligible to compete for top positions in the 2nd level examination. All 1st rank holders with minimum 75% of marks are also eligible for level – 2.
The following 7 students have brought laurels to the school by qualifying for 2nd level examination which will be conducted on 16th February 2017.
- Anwesha Sarangi of Class III-F scored 1st rank and also won Gold Medal.
- Ayushi Sarangi of Class VIII-G scored 1st rank and won Gold Medal.
- Malay Devashish of Class VIII-D got the 2nd rank and won Silver Medal.
- Pratyush Thakur of Class VIII-E got 3rd rank and won Bronze Medal.
- Tripali Tah of Class IX-F got the 1st rank and won Gold Medal.
- Maitrey Suhag of Class XI-Q got the 1st rank and won Gold Medal.
- Raghav Agarwal of Class XI-Q got the 2nd rank and won the Silver Medal
The principal, Dr. Ram Singh congratulated the students. He said, “Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going”.
He expressed his sheer delight at this achievement of the students and encouraged them to do better in the 2nd level and qualify for the 3rd level as well.
11 students of DPS Ranchi qualify KVPY Exam
The students of Delhi Public School Ranchi have proved their mettle once again with 11 students qualifying in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana).
Students of Class XI and XII had written this exam. Shaan-ul-Haque (XI J), Saakshi Choudhary (XI R), Pratik Prawar (XI R), Abhinav Kumar Jha (XI C) , Shaswati Mallick (XI A), Aman Raj (XII N), Saurabh Suman (XII P), Tiyasha Mitra (XII P), Nishant Singh Chouhan (XII P) and Anvesh Gupta (XII H), etc. are the students who have made the school proud with their brilliant performance in KVPY.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in order to attract exceptionally brilliant students for pursuing courses in Basic Sciences and research drive programmes.
The objective of this programme is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research, help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi, congratulated the students and said that it is indeed a matter of pride and honour for the school as with every passing year the number of students qualifying in various competitive exams is increasing. It was also stated by him that these exams will help the students to shape their career and as the Principal of the school he has assured them that he is ready to provide the latest techniques and facilities for their growth and development.
Student of DPS Ranchi Got first position in Regional Mathematics Olympiad-2016
Once again students of DPS Ranchi have added feather to the cap. 06 out of 30 students from Jharkhand who appeared for RMO which was held on 16/10/2016 under the aegis of National Board of Higher Mathematics, Dept. of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and was conducted in Jharkhand by Jharkhand Society of Mathematical Sciences, were from DPS Ranchi. Ankit Kumar Jain of Class X got the first position at this Regional Level Exam. All the six students of the school have qualified for the National Level Exam. The school is proud that the maximum number of rank holders from Jharkhand region are from DPS Ranchi. Further we also would like to point here that last time also the first rank holder in RMO was from DPS Ranchi. The Principal Dr. Ram Singh congratulated all the rank holders and wished them luck for the National Level.
Mathematics Wizards of DPS, Ranchi
The budding mathematicians of Delhi Public School, Ranchi have brought laurels to the school and once again gave it a season of cheer.
In the 29th Aryabhatta Mathematics Competition held in the month of January 2016, 4 students of the school have emerged as shining performers. Akshat Kumar of class VIII secured 2nd position among all schools and has been awarded with prize money of Rs. 7000. Tiyasha Mitra and Vedant Sahu of class XI got 4th and 5th position respectively among all school have received the prize money of Rs. 2500/- and Deep Arjit Prasad of class V secured 1st position in DPS Ranchi and has been awarded with Rs. 1500/-. Along with them almost 80 students have receive merit certificate for this competition.
Principal Dr. Ram Singh congratulated them on their achievement. He expressed a hope that these children will inspire more students to excel in future.
