We, at DPS, like our students to be creative as creativity often implies merely turning up what is already there. Creative minds have always been known to survive any kind of shortcomings and adversities. We strive to sustain and reflect the hidden talents of our students. The aim is to present a true image of all spheres of humanity and to bring out exemplary creativity of our students.

There are six houses in the school- Chenab, Ganges, Jhelum, Ravi and Satluj. Every student on admission is placed in one of these houses. Each house is headed by one boy and one girl known as house captains. Each house is headed  by one boy and one girl known as House Captains. A member of staff assisted by several other teachers (tutor) act as the house warden. Points are awarded to students throughout the year for extra curricular activities. At the end of the year two houses gaining the highest number of points are awarded running trophies. Inter house competitions are organized in Sports, Debate, Elocution, Quiz and Music.  

 

Cultural Programme by little Daffodils
Every child is gifted with some quality or the other .To showcase their talents, DPS Ranchi has hbeen organizing cultural programme for classes Prep to V from time to time. On this time 'Ushas'(heralding a new dawn), the cultural programme for Class I was held on 22 Jan 2012 in the school auditorium. The chief guest for the occasion was Shri Mahesh bareja, Ex-principal DPS  Ranchi and Director, Cambrian group of Schools. The programme consisted of a welcome song and dance, a beautifully crafted skit on 'Save Mother Nature', a puppet dance and a group song and all these left the audience mesmerized. The Principal of the school, Shri J. Mohanty expressed his elation at the mass participation of class I students.

Exhibits at Display
DPS Ranchi organized an exhibition on 22 & 23 December 2011 which gave an opportunity to students to display their creativity . Children of class VI to VIII prepared projects in all subjects ie Science, Social Science, Maths ,Hindi and English.
