Description: Delhi Public School, Ranchi brimmed with delight and exuberance as it celebrated the much-awaited and joyous occasion of Children’s Day on 14th November 2025. The campus transformed into a paradise of laughter, colours and smiles, where every corner echoed with the spirit of innocence and joy. A series of engaging, entertaining and vibrant activities were organised for students across all wings, making the day truly unforgettable. Honourable Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan reverently offered floral tribute to the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, marking the occasion with heartfelt respect.
On this auspicious occasion, a Special Assembly was presented by the teachers of the Primary Wing, filled with warmth, affection and creativity. Teachers performed melodious songs, soulful poem recitations and energetic aerobics sessions led by the Sports Faculty, which filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and liveliness. The students were showered with heartfelt blessings and words of wisdom by the Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan, inspiring them to dream big and embrace every opportunity with passion and positivity. The little ones also relished a special lunch, thoughtfully curated to treat their taste buds.
The fun-filled day continued with a spectacular Magic Show by magician Kaushal Tamrakar for students of Nursery to Class V, where the young audience was captivated by jaw-dropping tricks and illusions that sparked their curiosity and wonder. Cartoon movies were screened, filling the classes with laughter and excitement, while the Tattoo Art teachers added an extra splash of joy by painting colourful tattoos on students’ cheeks, hands and palms, bringing cheerful smiles to their glowing faces. Adding a touch of artistic brilliance, renowned artists from SPICMACAY mesmerised the children with an enchanting Puppet Show, beautifully blending traditional art with modern storytelling. The rhythmic movements of the puppets, expressive narration and vibrant props enthralled the young audience, leaving them spellbound.
For the students of Classes VI to X, the celebrations reached a crescendo with a magnificent live band performance by the Ekasth Band—an inspiring troupe of visually impaired artists—whose pulsating beats and musical harmony filled the air with energy. Students swayed, danced and sang along, rejoicing in the rhythm of happiness. The excitement doubled when professional stand-up comedian Mr. Sahil Dutt took the stage, filling the hall with waves of laughter through his witty anecdotes and hilarious performance. It was a day where stress melted away, replaced by joy, togetherness and childlike glee. This was followed by an inspiring and insightful session conducted by Mr. Rishi Sachdev, which greatly enriched the students’ experience.
Adding grandeur to the event, the SPICMACAY artists presented another spellbinding Dolls theatre puppet show in the Vivekananda Auditorium, attended by students of the Middle and Secondary Wings. The performance beautifully showcased India’s rich cultural heritage through the timeless art of puppetry. The vibrant music, intricate craftsmanship and lively expressions of the puppets created a captivating experience, reminding everyone of the magic and simplicity of childhood entertainment. After the series of engaging programmes, the students were also delighted to receive special gifts and refreshing treats.
Expressing her heartfelt joy, Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan said, “Children’s Day is a celebration of the purest form of happiness — the laughter, imagination and innocence that children bring into our lives. At DPS Ranchi, every child is a star whose light brightens our world with love and hope. This day is not merely a festivity but a heartfelt reminder to nurture their dreams, protect their curiosity and guide them with affection and care. Watching our young Dipsites laugh, sing, dance and express themselves with such confidence fills my heart with immense pride. The teachers’ enthusiasm, the artists’ creativity and the students’ unfiltered joy made this celebration truly extraordinary. I wish every child to grow with compassion, courage and confidence — to lead the world towards a future full of kindness and brilliance.”
