Description: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, successfully hosted a vibrant Painting Workshop organized by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Regional Centre Ranchi, as part of the nationwide initiative Seva Parv 2025, under the visionary guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. This profound initiative draws its inspiration from the dream of a Developed India by 2047, as envisioned by our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. The workshop, themed ‘Viksit Bharat’, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 100 students representing 15 schools of Jharkhand.
The event was graced by Shri Sanjay Seth, Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Government of India, and Member of Parliament, as the Chief Guest. The programme also witnessed the presence of Shri C.P. Singh, Honourable MLA, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, as the Guest of Honour. Adding cultural richness to the event were the special guests Padmashree Shri Mukund Nayak and Padmashree Shri Mahavir Nayak, who inspired the participants with their art and experience. The workshop was further supported by Dr. Kumar Sanjay Jha, Regional Director (IGNCA), and Dr. Kamal Bose, while the paintings were meticulously judged by an esteemed panel of experts.
Dr. Jaya Chauhan, Principal, DPS Ranchi, expressed her delight at the overwhelming participation and praised the collaborative efforts of IGNCA and DPS Ranchi in making the workshop a success. She highlighted the importance of nurturing creativity alongside academic pursuits for holistic development.
